Gmail and Outlook reject or spam mail from domains without proper SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. This tool reads your MX, SPF, DMARC and DKIM records and explains in simple words what is missing and what to add in your DNS.

01How to use the email dns checker (mx, spf, dmarc)

  1. Enter your domain. Add a DKIM selector if you know it, like default or google.
  2. Click Check.
  3. Follow the advice for each missing record, or ask our email support to set it up.

02Questions about this tool

What is SPF?
A TXT record that lists the servers allowed to send email for your domain. Without it, Gmail is likely to mark your mail as spam.
What is DMARC?
A policy record that tells receivers what to do when SPF or DKIM fails. Start with p=none to monitor, then move to quarantine.
What is a DKIM selector?
DKIM keys are stored under a name called a selector, like default._domainkey. cPanel uses default. Google Workspace uses google.
